Foundations Collection: An Emblem in Your Home for the Values You Hold

A collection of 10 original paintings made with earth pigments, coffee, limestone, sand, charcoal, and acrylic inks. Each piece is uniquely made with organic texture that will bring the grounding essence of the natural world into your home.

These paintings came from a place deep within. I’m so proud of this collection and what it represents.

I’ve been reflecting on the foundations which I have built my life on, especially since having kids. You really start to examine yourself and the values you want to pass down and live out. In this headspace, I started a new way of painting, with lots of texture and earth tones.

I’ve been drawn to rocks lately, mostly the ones that I stumble upon outside when on walks with my kids. Rocks are strong, imperfect, unique, and just cool to look at. If you slow down enough, you can find a dash of red, orange or yellow on a seemingly beige rock.

And that just really makes me happy. It’s hard to put into words, but I’m sure you can relate somehow.

Just as rocks form the foundation upon which structures are built, they serve as a symbol of strength and resilience.

We all hold values near and dear to our hearts, but oftentimes we hush them. It’s too easy to become numb inside. But without a strong foundation in our lives, the structures we build can become unstable or collapse.

What are those foundational beliefs that direct your life?

This is a reminder to recall these values and place them at the center of your home.

A painting from the Foundations Collection can be an emblem in your home of the values and beliefs that are the foundation of your life.

Each painting has a character of its own. This body of work is characterized by earthy textures, neutral pigments, and imperfect markings. These original paintings are made with organic texture and natural earth pigments, such as sand, limestone, coffee, acrylic ink, crushed brick, charcoal, and a dash of cinnamon and pepper. All are sealed with UV protectant layers.
